More Information - 70's Reunion
Well, here we go again! The committee is in full swing with planning our next 70's Reunion and the date is set! Mark your calendar for Saturday, April 18, 2026. This year we are excited to feature our band alumni, and most especially, our incredible band director from the 70's and 80's, Dr. Johnny Jacobs. "Jake" will be our special guest and we are hoping that he will enjoy reconnecting with many of his students and friends.
Dr. Johnny Jacobs began his teaching career at Dixie Jr. High in 1964. Many who began their band training with him continued to be under his direction as he moved to Minor High School in 1968. He continued teaching at Minor until 1985. We are excited to have him as our special guest and invite everyone whose lives he touched to this special reunion.
Dress will be casual as usual. We can't wait to rekindle these amazing friendships. Let's all make plans to attend this incredible gathering and enjoy another opportunity to share old memories and make new ones. Be sure to spread the word to all your MHS family and friends.

Persimmon Street runs right next to Arby's on Hwy 78 across from where the old Forestdale Baseball Park used to be. Turn next to Arby's and the lodge is about 1/4 mile down on your left. The area has secure parking, is well-lit, and is perfect for our event.

More Details ...
- Just like last year, we are starting our gathering early to allow more "daylight" hours to meet up. We will begin this year at 3:00.
- The Eagles Lodge has updated their ventilation system and the effect of smoke that has been present in the past is no longer an issue. So for those who have hesitated to come, please know that you will have a great experience..
- We will be including some food (pizza and hors d'oeuvres) so no food truck. Admission will include that expense.
This one is NOT BYOB. Every attendee will receive two tickets at the door that may be exchanged for soft drinks or water at the refreshment window. They have a full cash bar (cash only), with soft drinks and water available. These tickets are designed to provide only these items. Any alcohol will have to be purchased from the Eagles. No outside beverages are allowed by the Eagles Lodge rules. We have hired two bartenders to serve at a cash bar. Tips will be appreciated. Again, please, NO outside alcohol will be allowed.
Remember, no payment until you arrive at the event. Please plan on bringing cash with you for admission and to purchase any drinks you would like from the Eagles bar.
