Mr. Jonathan
Shelby is now in his seventh year at Minor and says he has truly enjoyed
serving the staff, students, and parents. He completed his Bachelors of
Arts degree in Psychology at Morehouse College, located in Atlanta,
Georgia. In addition, he completed his Master's of Arts degree in School
Counseling at Jacksonville State University. Recently, Mr. Shelby
completed his certification in Educational Leadership at UAB. He says that
his beautiful wife inspires and motivates him to be the man he was created
to be. Mr. Shelby enjoys playing basketball, reading, traveling, playing
pool, and going to the movies. He was compelled to enter the field of
education in an effort to instill the importance of receiving a quality
education in today's youth. His philosophy is simple, "Before you can
teach students, you must first be able to reach them". You reach them by
establishing trusting and supportive relationships, letting them know you
care. Mr. Shelby believes teamwork is the essence of any successful
organization, particularly public education. He is determined to
positively impact society through acts of service, kindness, and love. |
