The math
team at Minor High School is a group of dedicated students who are
interested in learning math beyond the standard curriculum. Their
enthusiasm for learning math allows them to learn new and exciting
things that will not only help them in their current math classes, but
help prepare them for higher levels of education as well.
The team
competes at several competitions throughout the year, including the
Jefferson County Mathematics Tournament. The Tigers have a history of
finishing strong in all of its competitions. Most recently a Regional
Championship in the Alabama-Louisiana-Mississippi Math League (ALML)
and a 2nd Place Overall in the Algebra II Division of the Jefferson
County Mathematics Tournament.
Practices
are held in Mr. Bryant's room, G-206 several times per week. Students
interested in becoming involved in Math Team events or competitions are
encouraged to come see Mr. Bryant in his room, G-206 or emailing Mr.
Bryant at kwbmath@gmail.com
