First Priority's Mission

To assist local churches in equipping, empowering, and encouraging teenagers to reach Minor with the Gospel of Christ and Love of God.

Our ultimate goal is to see students come to the Saving Knowledge of Christ and boldly proclaim that He is the only way. Our focus has changed over the year to a more discipleship approach, but to ultimately equip the Saints to proclaim Christ by their lifestyle, but also learn to share Christ with those who don't know Him. We also keep in mind to be burdened for those things that hinder His work and we set aside a week to pray for those things individually.

We meet once a week on Wednesdays at 7:20 a.m. in the Choir Room.

First Priority's Activities

Once a year, First Priority members participate in the Jericho Walk. This is where students walk around the school like the Israelites walked around Jericho. Participants walked around Minor once a day from Sunday through Friday; then on the seventh day, they walked around Minor seven times.

First Priority members also participated in the National event, See You At the Pole. This event happens once a year. Students gather around the flag pole before school and each person has the opportunity to pray for whatever is on his heart. That night, The Harvest was held at Minor's football stadium, which is one of the largest evangelistic opportunities throughout the year.
