Minor High School’s Debate Team competes in the Birmingham Area Debate League at Samford University the last Tuesday of each month. We compete against various high school students throughout the Birmingham area.

Samford University sends each high school a debate topic monthly. Our debate team has the responsibility of developing the topics into debate cases. Each topic must have an affirmative and a negative case. Our team has to debate both the affirmative and negative cases. We also participate in a variety of individual events that include poetry, dramatic, and oratorical events.
