June 10 Update: BIG NEWS! Mark your calendars! The MHS Class of ’73 50th Reunion will be held at the Harbert Center (2019 4th Ave., North, Bham) on Saturday, August 26, from 7pm – Midnight. Most reunion events must have attendance fees, usually in the $100-$200 range to cover costs. Due to the generosity of several anonymous donors, there will be NO attendance fee! The band Streetkar will perform at the event. Delicious hors d’oeuvres will be provided. We will have the Little Red Photo Booth for fun memories as well as a professional photographer. There will be a cash bar provided. Security is provided for the venue and parking deck. The only cost for attendees will be alcoholic beverages, if desired, soft drinks and $6 for parking. This will be a once-in-a-lifetime event with wonderful memories made. Don’t miss out and please, get the word out to every Class of 73 member you know. June 3rd Update: WE HAVE A DATE!! Our Class of 73 50th Reunion will be held at the Harbert Center, downtown, Bham on Saturday, August 26, from 7pm until midnight! MARK YOUR CALENDARS! This one is going to be something extremely special. We are working to bring in a band, we will have a professional photographer and, more.
May 14th Update: We have formed a search committee to find a venue in the Birmingham area and are looking for dates. With such a late start there are limited dates available. We are focusing on late August but that may change due to venue availability. We will keep you updated here. A special thanks to those on this Search Committee as they are working hard for us all. We will need more help and a couple more Committee members as we get closer to the date. I will send invites to join those who have offered to help soon. More to come - stay tuned.
