The 1974 graduating class of Minor High School celebrated its 45th class reunion on Saturday, August 17, 2019 from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. in the St. Joseph Hall at St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Nearly 100 classmates and their spouses, friends, and two of our teachers attended this memorable event. It was so interesting to watch everyone gather right at the door as they delightfully greeted one another and just hung around continuing that same practice as new people arrived. We had a fun photo area set up complete with props and Michael Cockrum ('76) helped us to capture the evening in photos. Our "Empty Chair" area served as a wonderful memorial to those who left us too soon.

Our memorabilia area contained lots of pictures, yearbooks, school relics, and a majorette outfit worn in 1952 by our own Randy Youngblood's mom. Photos of previous events were projected on the wall and there were audio clips of the band playing our alma mater and Tiger Rag. Our music collection that played through the night was gathered by Janie Schober Ingram ('76) who, along with Sheree Goolsby ('75) assisted checking in our guests and friends.

We stopped and paid tribute to our classmates gone from us with a moving memorial. You may view by clicking here (allow time for download as it is a large file).

Thanks to our committee headed by our class President, Kathy Cruce Youngblood. Here's to continuing to kindle and rekindle friendships within the Class of '74!
