Welcome to the Minor High School Academics Web page!

At Minor, we offer a wide range of academic subjects to meet individual students' needs. Our courses include advanced placement classes, honors classes, general classes, and exceptional education classes.

There are three different diplomas from which to choose: Advanced Academic Diploma, General Academic Diploma, and Occupational Diploma. Four units of mathematics, English, science, and social studies are required for graduation. We also offer Spanish and French classes. There are clubs related to regular classes, such as Phi Beta Chi, the science club, Math Team, the math club, and Scholars' Bowl. These extracurricular activities reinforce the curriculum in our academic classes.

Students may obtain additional help in all of our subject areas through our after-school and summer tutoring programs.  Tutoring services are provided each Tuesday and Thursday afternoon to assist students in their classes and to help students in preparing for the Alabama High School Graduation Exam. This service is provided at no cost to the student.

Our library/media center is also open each Tuesday until 7:00 p.m. in order for students to have access to research materials.
