Barber Motorsports Museum

Located east of Birmingham off I-20 in Leeds, this is a great attraction for the motorcyle enthusiast.

Home to the world’s best motorcycle collection, the museum now has over 1200 vintage and modern motorcycles and racecars and the largest collection of Lotus cars as well as other significant makes. The collection is the largest of its kind in the world. There are approximately 600 of the 1200 motorcycles on display at any given time. These bikes range from 1902 to current-year production. The common street bikes represented, as well as rare one-off Gran Prix race machinery.

The Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum is located at the 740 acre
Barber Motorsports Park that includes a world class 2.38 mile racetrack.


Birmingham Civil Rights Institute

The McWane Science Center in Birmingham, Alabama features four floors of hands-on science exhibits as well as the only IMAX theater in the area.


Railroad Park

Railroad Park is a 19 acre green space in downtown Birmingham that celebrates the industrial and artistic heritage of our great city. Situated along 1st Avenue South, between 14th and 18th Streets, the park is a joint effort between the City of Birmingham and the Railroad Park Foundation. Hailed as "Birmingham's Living Room," Railroad Park provides a historically rich venue for local recreation, family activities, concerts, and cultural events, while connecting Birmingham's downtown area with Southside and UAB's campus.


Splash Adventure

Located off I-59 in the Bessemer area and near the I-459 interchange, this site should be open during August for your family's enjoyment.


The Birmingham Zoo

Always a treat for the family. The Birmingham Zoo is Alabama’s must-see attraction, drawing more than 500,000 visitors annually. Approximately 800 animals of 200 species call the 122-acre Birmingham Zoo home, including sea lions, rhinos and endangered species from six continents.
